The fair is this Saturday, 5th June 2010 and is Edinburgh’s largest community run event so it’s a pretty big day out for the family! There are hundreds of stalls supporting charities and local organisations, loads of things for the kiddies to do and even more for the adults with lots of scrummy foods and even a fabby beer tent!
More information about the fair here: http://www.corstorphinefair.org.uk/index.php
I was asked if I’d like to take part in the day and jumped at the chance as I love the fair, its community ethos and the whole summertime vibe in general.
I’ll be providing entertainment in the form of live improvised performances and free mini lessons at 2.45pm in the Corstorphine Primary School hall. I’ll also be floating around throughout the day dancing, greeting people and taking any enquiries and bookings. I also intend to have a ‘Just Because’ donations box for anyone who wishes to show their appreciation. If any of my students past or present would like to perform or join me as a floating dancer please just email me.
Have just checked the weather forecast and it said 20˚C and sunny!!
I’m really looking forward to it and hope to see you there for some dancing fun and a blether in the sun!

A recent performance gig for BAA to celebrate Ryanair’s announcement of new route to Marrakesh مراكش
During the planning of this gig I was sworn to secrecy since the announcement hadn’t been made yet, this added to the excitement of performing for afternoon travellers in the Arrivals hall of Edinburgh Airport! This also meant I could only discuss the booking in general terms when offering it to Lara Yadgarian also who did well to trust me on it and to agree at what was quite short notice! Read more »

Thought it might be a nice idea to have a little nightout with every0ne together and this time of year is so lovely and magical, so why not?! Be an excuse to really let our hair down! Last year the Heriot Watt girls enjoyed a dinner together and it was a LOT of giggles! So, I might make it an annual thing. Read more »

The Festival of MESP has an incredible abundance of workshops, exhibitions, concerts, gigs and events planned throughout. The Festival brings together people and communities of Edinburgh and unites them in a caring and open environment where understanding and learning can take place. If you’ve never gone along to anything I strongly recommend doing so, as pushing your boundaries just slightly further than usual can leave you feeling really empowered and the festival is welcoming of everyone so attending anything within it will have a positive influence in your life.
